(Ⅰ) Preface 

Dear of my citizens, I am Vesta, The latest empress of Valkyric of the 110th generation. According 
to the usual practice, the newly appointed empress was to testify for the history written by the 
historiographer in the last royal court. Therefore, I also have to testify for the writing of the 
historiographer Taraniya, who was the scholar with most knowledge in Valkyric, and let me to 
respect best for her. But before testimony, I have to introduce the all her life and personal 
character in the historiographer Taraniya, and the contribution for Valkyric of her. 

Last empress, also my mother “Gressker”. When she was a newly appointed empress, for the 
reason to choose the best scholar in our race to serve as an assistant to her, she held a scholarship 
competition; the victory would be conferring title to minister. When the announcement were be 
published, there were many people signing up this competition, included Taraniya. For a long 
competitive competition, Taraniya came to the fore as expected, became the victory. But 
unexpected, she didn’t want to be receive the confer title and award; she rather wanted empress 
to let her assume office of a low-position historiographer than the former. The best wish of her 
was to use plentiful of collect books in capital to research the esoteric of life and the origin of 
history. Mother thought that although she have rich of knowledge, but she didn’t take pride in 
that, she still learned the much advanced scholarship modest, this ought to have the attitude for a 
scholarship. Therefore, for the wish of her, she became the 84th historiographer in Valkyric.

(Ⅱ) About the Race 

There are not many books about historiographer Taraniya, and there is also only one book about 


history by Taraniya, but this book cost Taraniya almost all her life, because this book was about 
the race of Valkyric…No, it should said the common forerunner of us and the race of Lanaroh. In 
this let me to premised a paragraph of words in this book, to expound the origin of the race. 

“Decades of centuries ago, a volcano on the seafloor of the ocean, for what reason erupted 
suddenly. Much of lava it sprayed, covered the sea area in the surrounding, and cooled down to 
the land. A few years later, this land appeared to water surface little by little, became to a dry 
land, also the Mainland Escar now. 

Until the appearing of Outesith (the first woman created by Aesice.) She settled down in this 
place, and multiplied later generation, established an empire. But a few years later, a high 
officials of Outesith betrayed her, captured the empire of her, and drove her away to outside of 
empire, the only thing Outesith could do was to bring the people supporting her, across to 
mainland, to a small island named ”Sandera” in the south part of Mainland Escar, and 
established the other small country.”

According to the record above-mentioned, we can know that two races –Valkyric and Lanaroh- 
are origin in one race. Because the antiquities diffuse in the land sinned in the sea for the occurred 
of “the Great Earthquake”, we can often fund the pattern or design represent Valkyric. If we 
are origin in Island Sandera, how are those bronze wares and earthenwares inscribe in the patterns 
and design appeared in Mainland Escar?

(Ⅲ) About the Faith 

As Valkyric and Lanaroh are origin in one race, that we should believe a same God. This 
statement had already been confirmed hundreds of years ago. According to the message 


transmitted by the scouts we dispatch continually, the empress of Lanaroh built up no less than ten 
stands of the sculptured statues of “Aesice” including greater and lesser in the city. These 
sculptured statues are providing to relatives to prostrate her in worship. For what we are believe 
in Aesice? And what things Aesice had been doing? How can we communicate with Aesice? 
These questions already have detailed explanation in history book. I will excerpt a paragraph of 
record in this book. To explain these question. 

“In myth, After Aesice creating all living things in the world, she couldn’t take care of 
everything one by one, therefore, she created “People” according to the appearance of herself, 
and teach them to multiply later generation by using of Fountain of Angel, then they can take care 
of all living things in the world. Therefore, she chooses one person in all relatives, and teaches her 
to transmit the opinion of human or declared the directive of God by using the language of God. 

The first person Aesice created, named “Outesith”, had most a lot of contributed in Valkyric. 
About how this person was to be created? This question didn’t have an answer until today. 
However, I will find the answer a few years later.” 

~~~According to Chapter 4, Segment 1 in the book “The History of Valkyric” ~~~ 

Although God create people to take care of all living things in the world, but people fail to live up 
to the expectation of God and let desire like greedy, extravagant, and selfish to corroded our 
heart. The most terrible thing is that we don’t have the wisdom of God, but for the sake of 
wealth and position, people don’t hesitate to start wars, fratricide, and no wonder that God will 
let misfortune to us.

(Ⅳ) About the Great Earthquake 

When the war between Valkyric and Lanaroh was continuing for hundreds of years, it occurred a 
Great Earthquake in Escar, and let central area of mainland sinned. Due to the capital of two 


empires are located near central area of mainland, although its didn’t sink, but its also occurred 
in a great degree of damage. The situation of this misfortune also written in book of Taraniya: 

“In Great Earthquake, the east, north and west part of Escar were sinking lesser, but the most 
serious part was still in central area of mainland, from Mount Kendall to south edge of mainland, 
this part separated itself from mainland and sinned in seafloor, and the high area showed above the 
surface of the ocean, became archipelago. 

Of course, Valkyric also be affected. Some houses made from wood clammed because they 
didn’t build solid enough, the surface of the city walls were appearing fissure, even some 
houses were catching fire and burning. These hours of Great Earthquake, let inside and outside of 
the city became in a mass. Many people were home in ruins and family members scattered, and 
some people also homeless. And this series chain of damage and refugees also let all the royal 
family to beat all their brain. A few days after the end of the Great Earthquake, the empress 
mobilized all race of people, to start the work of reestablishing after the damage. This time of 
earthquake realized the prediction of priest “Yeshowdara” 700 years ago: 

“After many years, two race between Valkyric and Lanaroh will start war for some reason, and 
this war will be continuing for hundreds of years, until Aesice we worship detest us, and let 
misfortune down to us.” ” 

~~~According to Chapter 17, Segment 3 & 4 in the book “The History of Valkyric” ~~~ 

After the Great Earthquake, the two races were stroke significant by the earthquake, and unable to 
fight continual. Therefore, the hostilities stopped. And Great Priest Yeshowdara predicted the 
prediction mentioned in the book after she went crazy in her later years. Yeshowdara was the 
highest skill of priest in all Valkyric formerly, and she was respectfully of “Great Priest” by 
the empress in that age. But after she fall a grievous ill, she became deranged all daylong, she 
often predicted some strange prediction. But people in that age only took notes, and they didn’t 
take seriously, until the coming of this day…

(Ⅴ) About the War 

I was born in wartime, and I went through the war between two races. I believed that there is 
many people same as me in Valkyric. But in among, how many people know the reason to start 
the war? And how many people know that both race Lanaroh and we are in the same ancestors? 
The reason to start the war, after arranging by Taraniya for a long time, she did the following 
explanation: 

“Island Sandera, the land we had ever been live in. This land is close to Mainland Escar. 
Thousands of years, it was the place our relatives living and multiplying. But the land resource of 
Island Sandera isn’t rich enough. Therefore, the relatives started to move to Mainland Escar. 

Coming to Mainland Escar, the empress in that age –Bardeleya Ⅱ-, decided to establish a new 
dynasty in the southwest part of Escar, it also is our capital. The reason is that the soil in here is 
very agree with growing crops, and this place is very convenient to transport the spring water of 
Fountain of Angel. The relatives don’t come back to Island Sandera in order to bearing. 
Therefore, our relatives cost 8 years time to build a new royal city. And the empress permitted 
extraordinary, beside soldiers and aristocrats, all the people could settle down in anyplace of 
Escar. But we didn’t think absolutely, this decision by the empress enraged the locality 
inhabitants: The Kingdom of Lanaroh, and they started a great-invaded action to us. 

The life style of Lanaroh is very similar to our relatives. All relatives are female and mainly in 
farm. At the same, they must depend on the capacity of Fountain of Angel to bearing, we even 
have the same faith, and it is Aesice that can take me “Lodarselim” (It is myth, it symbolize 
“life”.). However, both Lanaroh and we are not the same is that; they have the strongest army 
and the narrowest mind. When our relatives have been lived scattered almost half of Mainland 
Escar, Let Lanaroh have a reason to attack. Therefore unfortunately. Valkyric citizens that most 
closely to Lanaroh have been the first target they attack. Our empress didn’t hope that Lanaroh 
trample over our relatives; therefore she gave order to dispatch troops. One the one hand they 
could prohibit the proceeding of Lanaroh army, on the other hand they could protect locally 
Valkyric citizens to withdraw in capital.”

The words in above explain the process we move from Island Sandera to Mainland Escar, and the 
reason to start the war between two races detailed and unerringly. The two races that have the same 
origin were such fratricide. If our forerunner sees this scene, what impression she has?

(Ⅵ) About the Campaign 

For hundreds of years of war, both sides were mobilizing innumerable of manual labors and 
material resources, and everyone didn’t hesitate to sacrificed herself to got the victory in order to 
the honor in her race. Therefore in this time, it often occurred some campaigns shake the earth and 
more one to song and tears. The royal courts in two races also took note in campaigns that victory 
in them, on the one hand it could encourage the will of the people, on the other hand it could leave 
lasting reputation. But the truthfulness of the process of these campaigns would often allow a 
discount after transmitted toss about by people to among the people. Therefore, the historiographer 
Taraniya took a lot of time to collect the data, and put in order to some campaigns violent and 
heroic better. I decided to extract some of the most special, and the most be moved deeply 
campaigns to me as follow: 

~~~※ Campaign Sunset ※~~~ 

Before the occurring of the Great Earthquake, The topography in central area of Mainland Escar 
was mainly in High Mountain, and it was hard to fight, as a result that many campaigns were going 
on the space of mountain valley. The most heroic war going on in mountain valley is Campaign 
Sunset. This war is named by battling against in sunset and end in sunset. At that time our side was 
composed in 3 groups of knight troops, and commanded by the chief of knight Calmila. They 
proceeded to Lanaroh circuitous by using of the topography of mountain valley crisscross to each 
other. But watcher in enemy still found them when they were proceeding, in that time the war 
would be spread out. 

It was a difficult thing fighting in the mountain valley, moreover the color of sky was dark, and 
the visibility was very low, in addition the enemy were all gathering in the mountaintops. Our 


soldiers were afraid that the enemy shoots arrows to us in the mountaintops, and we only ran 
helter-skelter to everywhere. Fortunately the chief of knight Calmila thought a good idea: She 
commanded the army to arrange in two columns, and let the military engineers brought up the rear. 
Then she gave order to her army to charge ahead, and her military engineers bringing up the rear 
exploded the mountain by dynamite to prohibit the enemy to proceed. This idea was very useful, 
the enemy didn’t approach to the mountaintops for fear that landslide, Calmila’s army were 
taking advantage of this occasion to proceed. Reach to daytime, the enemy had already withdrawn. 
Calmila arranged her army, and they proceeded to east continually. 

But Calmila didn’t think absolutely, after the enemy withdrawn, the enemy concentrated in the 
exit of the mountain valley. When our army went out of the valley, they met another army 
immediately. The only thing that all the soldiers can do was to resist the enemy as much as they 
can. Because our army used up large quantity of physical strength, in addition the army that 
prohibited our army was the crack army in Lanaroh, therefore the war fall into difficult position. 

Reach to sunset, our soldiers had been unable to endure gradually, and they fall in battle one by 
one in succession. Fortunately other soldiers broke through the layers of encirclement. The 
personnel wouldn’t loss to seriously, but Calmila passed away because of her seriously of injury. 
Through this campaign, let Valkyric know deeply the important of fighting in mountain valley, 
and we researched to a sheath of strategy and military tactics in valley, let the similar campaigns all 
get victory from now on.

~~~※ Campaign Seven-Years ※~~~ 

This Campaign is the longest war in the history of the two races. And it also is the war that the two 
races mobilized the most manual labors and material resources. The battlefield it involved is almost 
a whole of Mainland Escar. But the reason to cause this campaign is that the inhabitants lived in 
the edge of the two races fought in private. At first for solving the problem to formulate the 
interface that the two races have been controvert for a long time. But because of the inhabitants in 
the two races all wanted to avoid war, therefore they still got along harmonious. But this time was 
caused by wrangle to start the fight. Until recuperate that the inhabitants were killed and wounded 
transmitted to the royal court in the two races, the situation wasn’t such simple. Soon after, the 
armies dispatched to suppress fight met at the interface. They all thought other side ill intentioned 
to each other, in addition the word stirred up by the inhabitants, therefore the war broke out. 

This campaign can separate in earlier stage and later stage. In the first 3 years named earlier stage, 
the two sides all fought by actual strength, the military tactics didn’t change very much, and the 
battlefields were all centralized to some place at the interface. But in Lanaroh, the mentality of 
people to oppose the war was rising gradually; let the officer who has formidable of wild ambition 
“Solsarus” usurped the throne, and let her younger sister “Molsarus” to replace the position 
of Great Priest. On the one hand Solsarus leaded policy by the mentality of people want to end the 
war quickly; On the other hand Solsarus could get rid of the people oppose her by the powerful 
sorcery of her younger sister. She controlled all of royal court in Lanaroh by using of dark wild 
ambition. 

Through the taking her seat of Solsarus, the later stage of this campaign was spread out. A month 
later, the war happened a strangely change. The Lanaroh soldiers dispatched latest to the 
battlefields all became profession killer after baptism by the Great Priest Molsarus. It let the 
soldiers of Valkyric unintelligible. At last only by transferring the army, let the people with 
wizardry like monk and magic futer assumed office of vanguard. Other people stand by in back, 
became the wizardry war of the two races. But this situation only kept a few weeks, then it became 
back to the originally fighting way mainly in strategy and military tactic again. 

The scholar “Amanorna” had ever been saying: “Crisis, is a thing that can stimulating mind 
and increase wisdom.” And war was equal to a great crisis, especially the past 3 years before the 
end of this war; the two sides were all developing many magical weapons like excalibur and evil 
sword, some magicians even trained to harpies by wizardry that can fly in the sky to supply to 
soldiers for riding. Although they increased the power of battling, but battling to the end, we only 


change an unprecedented of the Great Earthquake and the dead of more people.

This war is a mission of Campaign Seven-Years. In the later stage of the campaign, both the two

troop. Although they were the picked troop in Valkyric, but they still could not add up to the 
powerful priest. Only the swords shooting by the evil sword fighters could pass through the defense 
wall of the priest and hurt Solsarus, but it still could not let her to die. Finally, although this 
mission was failed, but Solsarus dispatched some troops back from the front-line for afraid to be 
sniped again, therefore the hostilities was ease up slightly.
